The land beyond Onareth is failing. Crops wither where they stand. Soil turns to dust beneath desperate hands. The Council calls it balance—another necessary correction in a world measured by loss.

But balance has begun to rot from within.

Selene has always understood hunger. Not as weakness, but as truth—the quiet, gnawing force that strips away illusion and leaves only what remains. What survives.

Dalen knows only how to endure. To build. To hold together what others let fall apart. But even the strongest foundations cannot stand when the world itself begins to starve.

As famine spreads and the fragile order of the realm begins to fracture, something older stirs beneath the dying earth—something that does not answer to the Council, or its ledgers.
